About
I'm James, and I live in Lexington, Kentucky.
I work a night shift. My mom was an office worker, and I got my first PC when I was 13. I've been comfortable with hardware ever since, and I'm self-taught with the software that interests me: I set something up, get it wrong, and fix it.
These days that looks like a homelab that hosts my own cloud, a local AI server, VR, and apps I've wrapped for my phone. I make the calls about what my setup should do, and I use a team of AI assistants to keep track of the details.
Outside the homelab I'm researching the Cockerham family's history, especially its Kentucky roots, at cockerh.am.
